Image Armada is available in a standard and professional version. You can purchase the standard version and upgrade to the professional version in the future with no "upgrade penalties". Each version was created to for a specific purpose and user, so let's discuss what the benefits are of each.

Image Armada 1.5 Standard ($25)

The standard version of Image Armada 1.5 allows you to do still create galleries with basic levels of customization. In fact, if you aren't too interested in making elaborate specifications for your galleries, you could probably use the Standard Edition just fine. The following are most of the Standard Edition features (a pretty good package for a "standard edition":

  • Edit hanging artwork and images

As you can see, the Standard Edition could suit you well. Once you learn how to use the standard version and become well acquainted with it, upgrading to the professional version would be beneficial.

Image Armada 1.5 Professional ($55)

The professional version of Image Armada 1.5 has many additional features for power users who want to have complete control over their galleries and expand on customizations.

  • Background music (WAV, MP3 and OGG formats) and playlists can be created
  • Customize the gallery with drawing styles (regular, hand shaded and cartoon) and post processing techniques (regular, dream, edge enhancement, inverted, monochrome, negative and sepia)
  • Animated your images as you approach within a certain distance. MPG, AVI, and WMV formats are suppported.
  • Record/Select audio clips to play when you approach an image (this is perfect for wildlife photographers and even a zoo visit)
  • Delete lights and artwork on a larger scale (entire galleries or rooms)
  • Change light properties
  • Create new lights
  • Edit individual lights
  • High resolution lighting
  • Watermark image option
  • Glass frames on images for a more realistic look
  • Record/Select audio narratives for initial introductions of a gallery
  • Import/Export lights and artwork between galleries
  • Email/Web links for each piece of artwork viewed
  • Flip/Mirror artwork
  • 500 images per gallery (only 100 allowed in the Standard Edition)
For the professional version, you should have an above-average video card for maximum efficiency. Minimum video card specifications for the pro version are owning one (or more) of the following video card models:

  • GeForce FX
  • GeForce 6000 series
  • Radeon 9000 series
  • Radeon X series
Above-average video cards are not that expensive and if you're looking to do any kind of serious editing anyway, you should already have a capable card.
