Enermax has been making a wide variety of high-end products for your computer since 1990. From computer cases to power supplies, Enermax is becoming a new force in high-quality electronics at a reasonable price. In this review DigitalDingus is taking a look at the Aurora keyboard. It is not a $10 keyboard you can easily find on a typical "bargain search engine", but something totally different. Yes, the Enermax Aurora...is built to last.

Aurora: Would You Like Black Or Silver To Match That Cool PC Case Of Yours

The Aurora comes in a very tempting black aluminum finish or a silver finish (which DigitalDingus decided to request since everyone else seemed to have reviewed the black version). The silver version is really an eye-stopper and eye-grabber when placed next to a black aluminum server case (such as a Lian Li PC-v2100b Plus II). Having such a contrast is my choice because and you might prefer all black. Regardless of the color choice, both keyboards look absolutely gorgeous!

A "Scissor Keyboard" For Windows Users

A while back the macally IceKey was reviewed, and while it received high ratings from me, the F13-15 keys were not accessable or programmable, and the top 4 multimedia buttons for sound and ejecting media, were not available for Windows users. Considering this was not too much of an issue because having a scissor key keyboard overrided any minor flaw, the macally IceKey was a great choice. But while the macally IceKey was more geared towards Mac users, Enermax has created one for Windows users.

Not Your Average Keyboard

When I received the Aurora in the box, I thought UPS was sending me something from Enermax by mistake because the box was significantly heavier than what I was expecting. Once the box was opened, I was delighted to see the silver hairline brushed version of the Aurora inside. Wow. I immediately opened up the Aurora's packaging and just held it in my hands. Damn. I hadn't felt a keyboard like this since the mid-1980's!

Aurora: For The Serious Digital Enthusiast

As you can see from the above features, the Aurora is a professional keyboard, designed for the serious computer enthusiast. But you know, it's also designed for anyone who wants a high-quality product, and does not want to be purchasing another keyboard, year after year. Those of us on the computer several hours a day can attest to keyboards becoming worn out, even after only 6 months of use.
