Casio Exilim Card EX-S500 Test Summary

The ISO 50 test image was very good. Even ISO 100 is of good quality, and even ISO 200 is useable. ISO 400, well, if you really need to shoot at that setting when nothing else will do, then go ahead. I chose the specific shadowed area to see how well the imager compensated and withheld its characteristics.

There were green and purple fringing issues in this particular test, even at ISO 50, but this is somewhat typical for the type of camera and imager size. Overall, I don't see any major issues to mark the camera down for, and in fact, I tend to give it an above average for its image quality.
