As stated previously, you generally won't see such a breakdown on Blu-ray bitrates, but I'm going to attempt to do this for future television releases so that the viewer can instantly see any deviations from disc to disc. The extras for TWD:S4 are mostly on Disc 5, with five audio commentaries spread across the four discs. The number of audio commentaries is the same as we discovered in season 2 and season 3.

We have some very interesting content on Disc 5, which is certainly worth the viewing. For the "Inside" and "Making Of" featurettes, each episode is covered. These two featurettes alone are about 3 hours. All the featurettes have Dolby Digital Stereo (48kHz).

Audio for The Walking Dead: The Complete Fourth Season sounds pretty good, but I have to wonder if the 7.1 audio track is sacrificed for a little extra bandwidth, as I'd like to see at least 3500 Kbps. Coming in at half this, is a little concerning as all four Blu-ray discs are BD-50s and have the room (about 7GB is free on each disc).

Bitrate Conclusion

Very consistent video with the last several seasons, and I'm rather impressed. I did notice a little bit of audio quality lacking on the extras disc and heard a few instances of compression. I didn't mind the 2-channel audio, but 192 Kbps? At least make it 320 Kbps. In any case, the bonus disc has almost 4 hours of content. For a die-hard fan of TWD, this is most welcome and appreciated!
