Antennas Direct has a compact HD Antenna which is designed for indoor use and for those who live somewhat close to HD transmitter towers. The ClearStream Micron (CSM1) measures just 9" (wide) x 11" (tall) and only about a half an inch in depth. The CSM1 is Antennas Direct's first indoor antenna.

Using The ClearStream Micron

Hooking up the CSM1 was easy and took only a few minutes. For HDTVs which DO NOT have a built-in HD tuner and have one in a separate tuner box (like myself who own a Samsung DTB-H260F), you simply screw the coaxial cable from the CSM1 into the external tuner.

Once the connection was made, I managed to receive 17 channels with the Samsung DTB-H260F. I was quite surprised. Previous antennas didn't get more than 4 or 5 channels. The CSM also wasn't placed in a proper area to receive channels, either. All I did was set the CSM1 on my Samsung HDTV Tuner and the DTB-H260F scanned more channels than I have ever seen. Very cool.

Pros

  • Compact and can fit in small areas--mostly out of view and blends in with other electronic equipment
  • Receive the most channels for your money
  • Sleak brushed black design
  • Can be mounted on the wall with included screwes and dual-functional antenna mount/stand
  • Relatively inexpensive "HD Antenna"
Cons / Disadvantages
  • Currently, none observed
The ClearStream Micron Indoor HD Antenna by Antennas Direct, is a reliable antenna for those who are located in suburban and inner-city areas who want a compact solution to receive HD channels. It's sleak design will fit almost anywhere and will blend-in with any home theater setup. It's certainly not an attention-getter, and won't distract from your HT, but will give you a solid amount of channels.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED PLUS

The Antennas Direct CSM1 is a great asset to anyone who wants OTA (Over The Air) channels and does not want to be stiffed in the wallet by cable companies. For $59.99, you get every single penny's worth. Finally, I found an antenna (and a company) which actually delivers on its promises.
