LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y., (February 9, 2006) — Expanding its direct presence in the western United States, Canon U.S.A., Inc. today announced the acquisition of Salt Lake City-based Uinta Business Systems, Inc., and its subsidiaries.
As part of the agreement, Uinta Founder Joe Weis will remain as president and continue to have responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the organization. He will report directly to Ryoichi Bamba, executive vice president and general manager, Imaging Systems Group, Canon U.S.A., Inc., who will serve as chairman of Uinta Business Systems, Inc.
