Hey Bruce,

Yeah. I saw that upgrade when I was loading up all the software and such the night of getting my 10D.

I'm just not sure if I need to worry about that particular upgrade. Has anyone else gotten it and if so, how's it working for you ?

Good Deal Vance, I had to upgrade my 10D from version 1.0.1, so I was already two versions behind at the time.

The upgrade is supposed to address some issue with the LCD screen, as well as enabling the capability to display kelvin temperature.

Canon's allowing user ugrading of firmware sure beats the heck out of having to send your camera in like with Oly and the E10/20. I never did send mine in for any firmware upgrades due to the horror stories I've heard from those that have. My E10 is still working fine. :D

Yeah...that was ONE of the oldest complaints I can remember of the old E10 days. :)

I've been able to upgrade my D30 since getting it. I think I even did it once to see how it would go, and it all went well. :hs

Kinda nice when the manufacturers give you credit for having a brain. :D
