Something Fishy.....

Well, I have been looking at the faster CF cards, and something jsut doestn add up with Lexar and their marketing. Seems they have recently released their 80x line of cards, and they are still trailing behind the Sandisk Ultra IIs. I know it kind of splitting hairs, expetially since there is only a 100k/s difference(in the Nikon D70). In fact, the 80x 1GB cards are only .275k/s faster than their 40x 1GB cards when hooked to a computer for maximum through put. The way I see it, the 80x cards arent anywhere near twice as fast as the 40x. I just thought I would bring that to light. :D

I think you know my opinion on Lexar media. In case you don't, they totally suck.

Like JB said.... (insert Hoover noise here) ... ;{)

Lexar seems to be reliable media, but they lie like a rug when it comes to performance IMHO !
I've got a 40x that is the same speed as my SanDisk retail... (boo, hiss).

Like Bruce said ... (mild cheering noise) ...
SanDisk is at least open about thier performance grades and reiability levels.
