Critique you in the Photo X forum? Naw, cant do that here. Now if this was the Photo X Critique forum I'd only say watch your background to make sure there are no trees growing out of her head. I know, hard to do when your concentrating on your model. Nice shots, nice model, and nice exposures.

You really seem to have captured her beautiful natural at ease look.

Nice shots. She does come off as a natural posing for the camera.

Why would we talk smack about her? And why would you warn us not to??

As far as a more "critical" critique I don't like the last one where her hips are the closest part of her body to the camera. I think that reclining pose is best shot from an angle rather than straight on. From what I can tell in the other photos it makes her hips look bigger than they are, especially with the horizontal lines of the steps she's sitting on.

One thing about the trees in the background. I didn't notice them until you mentioned it here. It is much less obvious in the full size file because they are so much more OOF then she is. When I shrank them down for the web, they don't hold up as well...

Thanks for commenting on the leaning shot Mark. This was a concern for me, but because she is so slander, they were not accented too mcuh... so I fired a few off. But that is a good thing to keep in mind. It could be a potentially dangerous pose for that reason.

NP Joe. I'm learning. :) If you hadn't specified you were open for critique I would've at least asked you about it in a PM. It's funny how chics can get picky about little stuff like that!

It's not just women. It's anyone, especially if they are negatively self-conscious. The angle worked for Alison, but that's an exception. This same thinking applies to placing someone in the upper or lower corners of a shot with a wide angle lens... talk about unflattering results! I made that mistake before while doing a family shoot with the 17-35mm AFS and ended up trashing the image - never showing it to them. Had I showed it to them with their proofs, they may not have said anything to me - but they deffinitely would have noticed and then had a sour taste in their mouth about me. It's our job to make people look good because that makes them happy. Happy customers are repeat cstomers!

I appreciate being critiqued, noone is above it. Thanks for taking the time to do so.
