So far I have't noticed any performance improvements when actually working with the files. Still slow in redrawing the image, whether it be fitting to screen or viewing at 100%. When I open the Base Adjustment palette the Color Control Point palette closes - that still hasn't been fixed. I would also like that the palettes could be locked in place and saved the same way it's done in Photoshop. D-Lighting is still slow to make adjustments. My setup is a modest one (PM G5 Dual 2Ghz, 5GB DDR, ATI X800 XT w/ 256MB DDR3) but in some instances 4.4 felt faster than this. The bug fixes are welcomed, but there are more bugs and performances issues to address for the next update. This on a mac. I'm not sure how it behaves on a Windows machine.

As pointed out by another member on Dpreview, separating D-Lighting into its own step greatly speeds up that process. But image rendering when adjusting view size is still very slow.
