Challenge Suggestions...

Postby Vance » Dec Fri 10, 2004 1:32 pm

Okay gang,

What we're going to do for now is keep this a Challenge, with the possibility of a Contest added at a later date, when things can be set up properly.

What I'd like to do is have everyone submit some suggestions on what type of Challenge they think would be fun.

Let's try to keep them in a manner that someone that doesn't have all the gear can still play.

So put on your thinking caps, and let's see what you got!

I am game for almost any theme. Like maybe "children" or "pets" or something like that. Maybe next time do something like "Contrast" or "Depth of Field".
Sincerely,

I think for the challenge to be fair for everyone it has to be something we all have access to
no matter the area we live in.

For instance...it wouldn't really be fair to make a Challenge of Photographing Elephants
if no one lives in Africa or by a zoo. What ever the challenge may be it needs to be something that is truely common place no matter where you live.

1.Mountains
2.Birds,,,,,cats........dogs........animals in general
3 Water....Ocean....Lake......stream....puddle....fountain

You get the idea.

One of my favorites is shooting reflections

In water.....Mirrors........Chrome ect.

Well thats my two cents.

have a great day....

I'm going to like this challenge thing.

Kid, cats (I don't have any pets except the squirrel in the front yard), cars, is too restrictive I think.

How about more general categories? Kinda like Randy said.. reflections, water, people, animals, landscape,
seasons, weather, a month characteristic (hmmm getting too vague I think)...
Find something around you that you think is beautiful and is characteristic of where you live or play.
Your favorite toy, or what you'd most like to have as a toy..
Even "stump the chump", like can you identify this...

Nikon D-700, Nikon lenses, Alien B flashes and lots of junk...

Suggestions we would get in shool were like these: think outside the box - it doesn't have to be people.

Relationship

Juxtaposition

Structure

Round

Reflection

Consiquences

Self

Life

Love

Touch

Hate

Fear

Sound
