Photography Bay is keeping the specs list updated as new info arrives. The original translation from Chinese commented the camera had in-body IS. This is apparently not true.

It looks nice yet I want to get away from the 1.6x cropping factor. Also wonder how much this will cost.

Thanks,

I was thinking the same, looks like a great camera but I don't want to give up my full frame sensor. As a secondary camera though it would be great.

I hear you - I can't stand cropped sensors now... I don't even like the 1.3x of the MkIII. That's why I use my 5D's more.

The 50D's pricepoint should come in right around $1k (maybe 1,200 to start).

One thing that is pretty interesting is the addition of 2 sRAW modes.
RAW: 15.1 million pixels (4752 x 3168)
sRAW1: 7.1 million pixels (3267 x 2178)
sRAW2: 3.8 million pixels (2376 x 1584)

They have a decent enough resolution to be very useful, especially for us event guys.

Joe,

Why are you not out taking photos or riding your motorcycle? Isn't the weather good today in your neck of the woods?

BTW, has anyone heard from Vance lately?

Take care,

I rode a couple hundred miles Saturday (had the day off) and did an engagement shoot Sunday. I was posting while I was getting my batteried charged up. What's wrong with that?
