I deffinitely have my eye on this puppy... I'm not crazy about 16MP files, but if the performance of the camera is improved and the IQ improves from the already amazing 5D, then consider me as buying two!

Joe don't forget you need one also to take on your bike.
That said I think I'm going to lay low on camera upgrades for awhile. Some of the features for the 7D are sure tempting but since I'm not shooting commercially all the time the needs are less. I also think my new toy needs some accessories. In fact I may even get rid of some gear. Travel lite and look for the shot.
What's really amazing is What I paid for my 1Ds when it first came out is about what I paid for my bike. Just doesn't seem equal when comparing them side by side. I'm talking visually not technically.
One never knows though. When the 7D is confirmed and shipping I could change my thoughts.

That's what it says in the link, unless it has changed from the time it was originally posted. But judging from the specs you mentioned, that sounds more like a 5D Mk II to me. On Phase One's website they did hint at a 5D Mk II in a drop down menu, somewhere.

I think it was updated as the 5D MkII on the UPC Database but I'm not sure how accurate that site is.
